Howdy folks,
Just a quick note to announce the sale of another of my landscape paintings, Harrietville Afternoon via Etsy.
Many thanks Michael!
34″ x 14″ Oil on Linen
Howdy all,
Long time no blog.. sorry about that! I’ve been busy with a ton of things, painting of course, re-designing my website etc etc.. where does the time go?
So here are two new paintings (still works in progress) based on a plein air and lighting study. You may recognise these from earlier posts, except these are bigger and improvements on the smaller works (I hope!!)
I’d also like to invite everyone to check out my new website www.ankaris.com. This will be my main portal onto the web from which I will show my portfolio, sell artwork and be a contact point for clients. If something doesn’t work right or there are missed links or you think it’s too clunky or whatever, please drop me a comment and let me know..
I’ll update my blog more often too..!
Enjoy!
The Harrietville valley landscape is 14″ x 34″
The Boulders on the rocks of Crookhaven is 15″ x 36″. Here is the location on google maps. http://tinyurl.com/r36wp7
Howdy Folks.. here is another landscape study of the Kiewa Valley in Victoria. The lighting is a bit flatter than I usually like, but it had a hazy quality which I liked. Dont think I captured it here though. Anyway we keep going… “We have to go on… We must go on..” 10 points to those who can guess which movie that line is from!
Is anyone else using wordpress.com having issues with uploading/displaying images? If I upload 2 or more images, or ‘gallery’, I get the option of displaying thumbnails which can then be opened up into full res images, (the size that I save the images in the first place. In my case 1024 pixels). If I upload only one image, I have no choice but to ‘insert’ that image into the page and you get a 510 pixel res image (as below), with no way of being able to open it up to full res.
Am I missing a button somewhere?
Hi All,
I think this one is done.. famous last words of course!!
It’s 30 x 30″, oil on linen btw.
Howdy everyone..
Great lightning storm over Sydney last night. Here are some hand held shots taken from my apartment balcony overlooking Homebush. Shot with my little Ricoh GR digital!
Me again.. Couple of photographs of a very stormy sky over Culburra Beach, NSW. If you head over to Ev’s blog, you’ll see a pic of the same storm… (I think it’s the same storm anyway!). Epic stuff. This baby cruised right past us, we didn’t get a drop. Ain’t nature grand!
Da pics..
